Since opening outdoors May 1st, this year's Boalsburg Farmers' Market is well underway. Besides providing fresh and local food options for residents and visitors, our Farmers' Market is a gathering place for the community. From under the shade of our community tent at the center of the market, you can reconnect with unexpected old friends while gleaning information as customers and vendor discuss honey-bee raising methods or a particular crop curiosity. Generational family farmers, as well as retired Penn State entomologists and their products, are at your fingertips every Tuesday in Boalsburg at our farmers' market.
But wait, there's more! Each Tuesday we have organized local musicians to jazz things up from about 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Music organizer, Papa, recaps a few recent BFM Tuesday musical experiences.
The Shooting Stars dodged the rain and were able to start on time on 5/22 and added a special guest Gus Tritsch. Wow, twin fiddles reminiscent of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. If you have never heard Gus, he is certainly a shooting star on the rise. Thanks for great tunes guys.
Dale Keller, singer, songwriter and recording artist played on 5/29. Dale had his full line of CDs and promo material. Good tunes Dale. It was fun harmonizing with you. Thanks for playing.
